WOOD ENERGY CHECK. Modest French people heating with wood will be able to benefit from new government aid from December 22, 2022.
[Mis à jour le 28 novembre 2022 à 16h39] To compensate for the soaring price of wood and pellets for several months, the government announced this Sunday, November 27, through the intermediary of the Minister of Public Accounts Gabriel Attal, the launch of a brand new aid system: the wood energy check. The amount of this bonus intended for French people heating with wood will be included between 500 and 200 euros. To claim it, you will have to go directly to the site of the energy check starting the December 22, 2022, enter his teleregistrant number and his invoice. This exceptional aid will be paid subject to income conditions. Until €2,260 for a single person, and up to €4,750 for a couple with two children. This wood energy check comes in addition to the traditional energy check, paid in the spring of 2023.
Today, 3 million of French people warm themselves with wood. With the soaring price of pellets, some households find themselves at a loss when it comes to paying the bill. This is why the government wishes to act to allow the most modest households to heat themselves properly this winter. This aid concerns both households heating with logsor some pellet (granules). The only rule: the level of income to benefit from this new exceptional aid. €2,260 for a single person, and €4,750s for a couple with two children.
The amount of the brand new wood energy check for French people heating with wood will be included between 50 euros and 200 euros depending on your level of income. To receive this cheque, your salary must be less than €2,260 for a single person, and less than €4,750 for a couple with two children.
Do you heat with pellets? The check will be 200 euro, if you are from the most modest households. If you are in the higher category, the check will be 100 euros. If you heat yourself with logs, the aid will be 100 euros for the most modest, and 50 euros for other income brackets, within the limit of the fixed ceiling.
