Swedish Jesper Fast became a big hero last night for his Carolina.
And afterwards he had a wonderful chat with Henrik Lundqvist.

Last night, the Swedish NHL player did Jesper Fixed the biggest goal of his career so far. When he scored in overtime for his Carolina Hurricanes and sent the team to the conference finals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Great hero though
The 31-year-old is best known as a defensive forward and a real hard worker who gives his all on the ice. But when he got the golden opportunity last night, he really took the chance and scored the 3-2 goal against the New Jersey Devils that meant Carolina advanced in the playoff tree.

The hero of the match “Quickie”, as he is called in North America, then got a mic in his hand after the match and a very familiar voice appeared on the other end. Because sat in the TNT studio Henrik Lundqvist and did the victory interview with Fast.
– I am happy to score some goals. We have a lot of guys contributing right now – and I’m one of them. I’m quite happy about it, says the Swedish match winner to “Henke”.

Henke’s tribute
Both were former teammates in the New York Rangers and you can really see how Jesper Fast lights up in a big smile when he hears Lundqvist’s voice, see the video below.
– Everyone loved him. He is such a great teammate and works very hard. He was voted the most popular teammate by his teammates like five times, I think. He’s always there every day and works hard, there’s no ego at all and when guys like that succeed you’re extremely happy. I love to see him get this success and score big goals, says “King Henrik” in a very nice tribute to the former Rangers teammate.
