Our Swedish ladies are the best in the world in cross-country skiing.
Last ski season they once again proved their greatness.
Now a new and lovely picture of our blue-yellow heroes has made everyone long for a new winter.
The Swedish national ski team has conquered the throne as the best in the world on the women’s side. Before last season, a decisive turn came when the so-called “breakout trio” with the star skaters Frida Karlsson, Lynn Svahn and Maja Dahlqvist returned to the blue and yellow national team again.

It gave a newfound harmony and level of competition in absolute world class that was needed in the national skiing team again. The last season was therefore a great success for the ladies who proved their greatness by winning the Nations Cup at the World Cup.

The very best skaters at the World Cup were Linn Svahn and Frida Karlsson. Where Svahn finally managed to return to the top of the world again after injury problems that lasted for two years and she won the sprint cup and came second in the overall world cup.
The blue-yellow success
Frida impressed in the distance races and managed to come third in the overall world cup and Jonna Sundling convinced at the end when she managed to get rid of her ailments. While Emma Ribom, Maja Dahlqvist and Ebba Andersson had heavier seasons to contend with, although the latter obviously got to celebrate big as this year’s Jerring Prize winner.

Therefore, it has been a great season in many ways, but now it’s over and it’s time to start recharging for a new winter, which also means WC season. This weekend the Swedish women’s national team gathered again for a start and then a wonderful picture of the world’s best national team was taken, see below.
