New competition for the French handball team with the Women’s Euro which begins on November 4th. For this competition, the Bleues present themselves as Olympic champion, vice-champion of Europe and vice-world champion in title… What makes them the favorites of the competition? Not sure, especially since the coach had to deal with the injuries of Orlande Kanor, Méline Nocandy and Laura Glauser. Among the choices, Allison Pineau, international since 2007 and named best player in the world in 2009, was not called.

What are the groups for the Women’s Handball Euro?

At the end of the preliminary round, the top three from each pool advance to the main round. Two groups are then formed: group I, which brings together the qualifiers from groups A and B, and group II, which brings together the qualifiers from groups C and D. The results of the matches of the preliminary round between teams qualified for the main round are kept. The teams play against those they have not yet faced. In each group of the main round, the first two are qualified for the semi-finals. The third of each pool compete for a classification match.
