Beatriz Álvarez Mesa is the great cover to preside over the new Women’s Professional Soccer League. The Astuarian would have the approval of the vast majority of clubs, such as has unveiled FutFem and as AS has been able to confirm. Until now, the General Director of Sports of Asturias would be the first president of the new LPFF, having the support of the majority of the clubs. Although his candidacy is not yet official, she would fight for the position with the already known candidacies of María Teixeidor and Dolores Martelli. However, the Astuarian would have the support of at least twelve of the 16 clubs, which are the ones that will vote for the new president.

Álvarez is the current General Director of Sports of the Government of the Principality of Asturias. She is a former soccer player for Oviedo Moderno, a club of which she was president from July 16, 2009 until her appointment as General Director of Sports in 2019. A great connoisseur of women’s football since its inception and with experience in management for more than ten years, she takes everything to be the new visible head of the new competition.
