Until now, the General Director of Sports of the Government of the Principality of Asturias is the only candidate who has obtained sufficient endorsements to stand for office and today her candidacy will be made official and that is the only option for the presidency. It will not be until June 7 when it is officially ratified in the Assembly of the clubs. The candidacies had until Saturday night to present the endorsements and only Álvarez obtained the requirements to present himself.

Out of the fight are the only two official candidates, those of María Teixidor and Reyes Bellver and Ainhoa Tirapu and Dolores Martelli, that they did not obtain the endorsements of the clubs to be able to apply for the position. The other, the candidacy of María Tato, former head of women’s football at the RFEF and now in the International Area. Nevertheless, although this was never made public, it only had the support of three clubs and finally did not present its official candidacy either.

Beatriz Álvarez has had the support of the vast majority of clubs with up to nine endorsements. Another four did not want to speak and the rest supported the candidacy of María Tato. The Oviedo will have Rubén Alcaine, president of the ACFF, as vice president and Pablo Vilchez within his team.
