The horse became seriously ill and needed to be killed.
But when the owner could not pay, the horse died by himself.
Now two women are convicted of animal cruelty.
During the summer of 2022, one woman sold one horse to the other.
But due to financial problems, no formal change of ownership was made.
After the horse came to its new farm, it became ill and a veterinarian found that it needed to be killed.
But it was not done because neither the buyer nor the seller of the horse could afford to pay for the killing.

On New Year’s Day 2024, police received an alarm that the horse was dead in his pasture – covered with snow. According to the police’s preliminary investigation, it appears that the horse was then severely depleted and in the same pasture there was another pony that was alive.
The district court now considers that the two women have been guilty of animal cruelty and on Thursday they were sentenced to daily fines.
