A man was arrested after a woman’s life was threatened, said Chatham-Kent police.

Police said a report was received just before 10 am Thursday about an incident of intimate partner violence in Chatham involving a 31-year-old Chatham man and 24-year-old Chatham woman.
Officers learned through investigation a man assaulted and threatened his former girlfriend and also destroyed some of her property, police said.
The man was located and arrested and charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats and mischief under $5,000, police said.
He was released with conditions and a Sept. 9 court date.
Intimate partners clash, woman arrested: police
A clash involving intimate partners violence resulted in a woman being arrested, said Chatham-Kent police.
Police said a report about the clash was received around 7:15 pm involving a 63-year-old Chatham woman and 41-year-old Chatham man.

The woman was located, arrested and charged with one count of domestic-related assault, police said.
She was released with conditions and a Sept. 16 court date.
Two men arrested after old door handles stolen
Two men were arrested after being found with old door handles stolen from a Chatham church, said Chatham-Kent police.
Police said a report was received around 7:30 am that two 150-year-old door handles were removed from a church in the Wellington Street area.
Investigation led police to arrest two Chatham men, who are known to police and were identified to have the stolen property.
Police said a 31-year-old man resisted arrest and while being searched during the arrest was found to be in possession of an illegal substance.

Police said the man was charged with resisting a peace officer, drug possession and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
He was released with conditions and a Sept. 12 court date, police said.
Police said the 38-year-old man who was charged, was released from the scene with an Aug. 19 short date.
Man arrested for impaired after several callers alert CK police
A man has been arrested for impaired driving after a number of calls from citizens were received following a crash, said Chatham-Kent police
Officers were called to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Base Line Road in Wallaceburg around 1:50 am Friday, police said.
Various callers provided information that a vehicle was driving erratically and believed there had been in a collision as a result of hearing a loud crash, police said.
The driver, a 25-year-old Chatham man, was located and arrested. He transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
The man was charged with impaired driving and having a blood-alcohol level exceeding the legal limit, police said. It was released with conditions and an Aug. 12 short date.
Police said his vehicle was impounded for seven days and his license was suspended for 90 days.
