In the documents to the National Board of Health and Welfare, both a diploma and a list of subjects from a Turkish university were attached. But the National Board of Health and Welfare, which received the documents, sensed confusion and first contacted UHR, the University and Higher Education Council, which reviews foreign grades, who also thought there were “ambiguities in the documents”.
The National Board of Health and Welfare then contacted the specified school in Turkey, which was able to confirm the suspicions of a fake diploma.
“Our university does not have a nursing department. The attached diploma is fake. We will start legal procedures,” replied the school’s principal in an email to the authority.
Denies crime
On Wednesday, the trial was held in Södertälje district court. The woman denies the crime and states in questioning that she believes someone else must have used her name in the case. She is now suspected of using a false document.
