On Saturday morning, police, emergency services and an ambulance were called to Årsta in Stockholm due to a single vehicle accident on Åbyvägen.
The alarm came in at a quarter past eight in the morning. Pictures from the scene show a car lying on its side on the road.
– A woman in her 60s has been taken to hospital by ambulance. I don’t have any details about the damage, says police spokesperson Anna Westberg.
The road was closed
It is unclear how the accident happened, and according to the police, it is too early to determine any criminal classification.
– I know we are on our way to the hospital to try to talk to her, says Anna Westberg.
The road was initially closed after the accident, but it should now be open to traffic again.
The road is completely closed in the southbound direction, and only one lane is open in the northbound direction.
– However, a number of vehicles are working to clean up after the accident, but you can drive by, says Anna Westberg.
