A woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after stabbing her partner.
The man, who is in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The incident occurred at 8.30 pm on Sunday evening in the couple’s shared home in Hässelby in Stockholm. Two children were in the apartment during the crime.
– We do not know if the children were witnesses to the incident, but since they were at the crime scene, she is also suspected of child welfare violations, says Per Fahlström, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.
The apartment is cordoned off pending a technical examination.
– We will look for evidence and find out how it happened and what happened, says Per Fahlström.
The man’s injuries are said to be serious, but not life-threatening at the moment.
