A woman in her 20s was assaulted and raped on Avenyn in central Gothenburg on Thursday morning, reports Göteborgs-Posten. A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of the crime.
– She is exposed to a sexual act that is equated with rape by an unknown man, says Fredrik Flyberg, officer on duty at the police in the West region, to GP.
The alarm came to the police around half past five in the morning. The rape took place outdoors, and the suspect was arrested on the spot. The woman must not be seriously physically injured.
