Agents found DNA traces of a woman at the murder scene. These were compared with DNA from women from Bonn and the surrounding area, but without results. It wasn’t until years later that the match was found with the woman from Veenendaal. Her DNA was in the Dutch database because she was previously in the picture with the judiciary. In 2018, for example, she was on trial for an assault case.
