Woman life-threateningly injured after tent fire in Mölndal – several burned

The alarm came just before six o’clock and the emergency services sent several units to the scene. The police and ambulance were also called there.

– A woman has been taken to hospital by ambulance, her condition is life-threatening. The other four people have varying degrees of burns, says Thomas Fuxborg, press spokesperson for the police.

The circumstances surrounding the fire are unclear. The five adults are said to have camped at the site, where a fire broke out early Thursday morning.

– When the emergency services are finished, we will block off the scene and we have started a preliminary investigation regarding arson. When possible, we will hear the people involved, says Thomas Fuxborg.

At 07.30 on Thursday morning, according to the rescue service, the main fire was extinguished and subsequent extinguishing was underway.
