The accident happened at 5:30 p.m. Later on Thursday evening, the police announced that a woman had died from her injuries. Relatives have been notified.
A man was taken to hospital by ambulance, but his injuries are considered to be minor, according to Region Dalarna.
The road was closed completely after the accident. The police have investigated the accident scene with the help of, among other things, drones and the traffic.
Traffic was alternately diverted while the police worked, but at 9 p.m. they announced that the road had reopened and that the patrols had left.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident and have now been impounded for technical examination.
