The offer from the Russian security service was clear.
The woman, an unemployed Ukrainian parent, would gather detailed information about all the military facilities she could find in Odessa.
As a thank you, she would get help getting to Russia or Belarus where she would get a job.
The walks with the son
The woman accepted yes, and started walking long walks with her six -year -old son. She photographed, filmed and marked coordinates.
After the walks, she must have written together intelligence reports for her Russian handler.
According to the Ukrainian security service SSU, which has now arrested the woman, she has collected information on at least ten places.
Suspected of treason
She must also have noted notes on the number of military in each place and what type of equipment they have.
During a house search, SSU found a phone and a tablet with pictures, videos and screenshots from Google Maps with exact coordinates for military facilities and postings. They also entered encrypted chats between the woman and the Russian intelligence service FSB.
The woman is now suspected of treason and is detained with restrictions.
