The police were on call when the collision occurred. The woman was traveling in a car and collided with the police car at an intersection in central Örebro at around 3pm on Sunday.
It is not obvious who has hit whom, but we have made a thorough documentation of the accident scene from the air, says police spokesperson Lars Hedelin.
Then we look over whether it is the case that there are surveillance cameras in the area where this accident could possibly be caught on film.
At 6 p.m., the police announced that the woman had died of her injuries.
One of the police officers was taken to hospital after participating in the rescue work itself.
The policeman should not have any physical injuries, but of course what happened is very difficult, says Lars Hedelin.
A preliminary investigation into traffic violations will be initiated.
The case is classified as causing the death of another.
