A woman in her 60s has been found dead in an apartment in Spånga in northwest Stockholm.
The police are investigating the incident as murder and one person has been arrested.
At 6 pm on Friday evening, the police were alerted to Spånga in northwest Stockholm.
A woman in her 60s had then been found dead in an apartment.
– Doctor or ambulance was on site first, it could be one that came in as a cardiac arrest or case of illness. Then we get involved, says Mats Eriksson, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.
“Must go to the bottom”
The circumstances are unclear and the police cannot rule out that the woman has been the victim of a crime. They have therefore launched a preliminary investigation into the murder.
– We have to get to the bottom of what has happened, says police spokesman Mats Eriksson.
One person has been arrested and two more have been brought in for questioning. At present, the police cannot say what relationship they have with the woman.
Several police patrols remained at the scene late on Friday night.
A residential area has been cordoned off and technicians are working on the site.
