In April this year, a woman in her 60s sought care for a sore leg that was also swollen. On site, there were no emergency hours and the wait was long, which made the woman angry, according to several witnesses.
In questioning, a nurse tells about what happened when she met the upset woman and her accompanying male acquaintance.
– He was crazy and she walks towards me with her walker. Once I came out to them and told them to get out of here, she ran me in the shin with the walker. It really hurt. Then we called for the guards and then they went out with a thud, says the nurse in questioning.
The nurse was in intense pain
In questioning, the nurse told about the pain after the upset woman ran over her with the walker.
– There was an intense pain right on the shin just when it happened. It was like a flash of pain here and there, but the pain subsided quite quickly. Then there was a small wound, but it was nothing that hurt afterwards.
The woman with the walker is charged with assault
The woman denies having committed a crime but believes that large parts of the sequence of events took place. According to the woman, the staff must have told her to seek treatment at other hospitals, write the newspaper.
– I stand in front of her and ask what the problem is. I don’t remember exactly. I said “I have never been treated so badly”, says the woman in questioning.
Now the woman is charged at the Gothenburg District Court for assault.
