The woman’s job was to pay compensation to travelers who submitted claims to Skånetrafiken for missed or delayed journeys. However, fifty of the cases she handled did not exist in reality – these were made up by the woman herself and the payments went to bank accounts controlled by people she knew.
A total of approximately SEK 160,000 was paid out for fabricated compensation claims during the period December 2019–September 2020, of which nearly SEK 116,000 was later transferred to the woman’s bank account.
Now she is being charged at the Malmö District Court for unfaithfulness to the principal.
