The alarm about the incident came at 2 pm on Thursday.
The woman was hit by a truck. She was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The truck driver was shocked and also sought medical attention.
Early in the evening, the police announced that the woman had died in the accident.
“We will investigate the accident,” says the police spokesperson Gabriel Henning.
