A woman in her 80s has died in an apartment fire in Jönköping, the police write on their website.
The alarm about the fire in the apartment came at half past eight on Friday evening. The woman was found inside the apartment and taken to hospital by ambulance, but her life could not be saved.
The police are investigating the cause of the fire and have cordoned off the apartment pending a technical examination.
The fire did not spread to any other apartments in the apartment building.
