The woman in Södertälje who was badly beaten over the weekend has died of her injuries. Two men are suspected of murder.
– I can confirm that she was alive when the ambulance found her and died later in hospital, says prosecutor Anton Tunving, who leads the investigation to Länstidningen Södertälje.
The police were alerted to the incident on Saturday afternoon by staff at a hospital.
The woman had been picked up by an ambulance earlier in the day. After she was examined at the hospital, suspicions arose that she had been the victim of a crime.
The suspected crime is said to have been committed in a residence in Södertälje and the two men were arrested there. They have a relationship with the woman, according to the police.
The men are arrested, suspected of murder.
