A traffic accident occurred on the E18 just outside Karlskoga on Friday morning. Three cars were involved and three people were taken to hospital by ambulance.
Later, the police confirmed that a woman in her 30s had died. The condition of the two others who were taken to hospital is unclear.
A 65-year-old man is suspected of causing the death of another and negligence in traffic. The accident occurred at the Immetorp intersection in the direction of Karlskoga at 07:30.
