Woman charged with driving with four times legal limit of alcohol

A Brantford woman has been charged with driving with a blood-alcohol level four times the legal limit.

Six Nations Police say a driver was traveling in the opposite lane and swerving in and out of traffic on 6th Line Road in Ohsweken on Wednesday at about 5 pm

While patrolling the area for the vehicle, officers were notified that a vehicle matching the description was involved in a collision.

Police say they found a woman in the driver’s seat who declined medical attention.

A 35-year-old has been charged with impaired operation and dangerous driving.

Suspect arrested after firearm pointed at motorist

Six Nations Police arrested a male suspect after receiving a report of someone pointing a firearm at a passing motorist on 4th Line Road in Ohsweken.

Police say they were called at about 7 am on Wednesday.

Police closed 4th Line Road between Chiefswood Road and Lawrence Jonathan Lane to search the area.

Brantford man charged with impaired, obstructing police

A 24-year-old Brantford man has been charged with impaired driving and obstructing a peace officer following a single-vehicle collision on 2n/a Line Road in Ohsweken on Nov. 11.

Police were called to the scene at about 6:45 am and say they saw a man and a female of unreported age outside of a vehicle that had significant front-end and interior damage. Police say both declined medical attention.

Police say witnesses at the scene reported seeing the man in the driver’s seat but he claimed the female was driving. Both, say police, were uncooperative.
