A 65-year-old woman has been fined after calling 112 almost 500 times over a two-year period, Helsingborgs Dagblad reports.
The woman is also convicted of violence against an official after acting violently towards an ambulance paramedic who was called to her house in September 2023, after she stated that her husband had suffered a cardiac arrest.
When it turned out that the husband did not have a cardiac arrest at all, the woman called two more 112 calls at the same time that emergency personnel were in her residence. When the police arrived, there was a commotion and the woman assaulted the female paramedic.
She is now sentenced to a suspended sentence in combination with 100 daily fines of SEK 110 each.
