A close-range wolf was shot on Friday following a decision on protective hunting by the county administrative board.

The wolf had on several occasions taken animals at a shack in Orsa, including two sheep, and when the county administrative board came to inspect, the wolf took a goat right in front of the inspectors, writes Dala-Demokraten.

According to Jaktjournalen, there was no information that the wolf showed signs of illness or injuries.
