A male wolf has been shot in an area between Herrljunga and Falköping, reports P4 Sjuhärad.

The County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland has during the past week taken two decisions on protective hunting since six attacks on sheep took place in the southern part of the county during the past two months.

The circumstances surrounding all the attacks are not clear, but DNA analyzes have shown that two of the attacks have been carried out by a young wolf from Söderman County that had not previously been in Västra Götaland. The now shot wolf must be examined in order to find out if it is the one who carried out one or more of the attacks.
