Wolf accidentally shot – thought it was a fox

A wolf was accidentally shot in Värmland last week. The hunter thought he was aiming at a fox and the incident is now being investigated by the police, according to Sweden’s Radio P4 Värmland.

The incident occurred during an educational hunt organized by the Hunters’ Association during the buck hunt, which began on August 16.

– Basically, it is serious that you shoot at an animal that you have misjudged what it is. Basically, of course, you have to see the difference between a fox and a wolf, says Anders Olsson, chairman of the Hunters’ Association in Värmland, to P4 Värmland.
