The new guidelines not only have consequences for Woerden, but also for the villages of Harmelen, Kamerik and Zegveld that fall under the municipality. In those last two villages, Zwarte Pieten still participate in the entry. Last year there were no more Zwarte Pieten in Harmelen. According to the municipality, it was ‘a great success’.
