Witnesses after the fatal accident: Something went terribly wrong

Sarah and Clarence Hamilton were witnesses to the tragic accident when five people lost their lives on county road 184 between Skara and Falköping.
– We immediately understood that this is tragic, says Sarah Hamilton.

Sarah and Clarence Hamilton had been shopping and were about to turn onto the exit at home when they saw that there had been an accident.

– I look down at the clock in the car to see if the mail has arrived and then it says 4:33 p.m. When I look up, I see blue lights at our driveway, says Sarah Hamilton.

They see a truck and a passenger car that have crashed on county road 184, at the entrance to where they live.

– It comes so close and so suddenly that you actually oscillate between rationality and shock. These are images that stick and there were many people at the scene, police, emergency services. Probably around 30 people, says Sarah Hamilton.

“This is tragic”

Clarence and Sarah Hamilton didn’t know it at the time, but there were five people in the car and they all died in the accident.

– We immediately understood that this is tragic, says Sarah Hamilton.

Relatives of four of the five people have been notified, the fifth man has not yet been identified.

– Something went terribly wrong, says Sarah Hamilton.

– It is a police investigation, it is difficult to speculate on what, says Clarence Hamilton.

But they both have thought that it would be good if you drove at a lower speed on the road outside them.

– When you drive this road, you have to keep your eyes open because it is narrow, there are no road rails and there is game. You have to be careful here, says Clarence Hamilton.
