With this simple kitchen accessory youll never put foundation on

Tired of staining your white clothes with makeup? Here’s an unstoppable tip that could save your wardrobe. And good news: it requires household linen that everyone has at home.

A foundation stain happened so quickly! Just put on a light piece of clothing after putting on makeup and voilà: from the collar, to the sleeves, to the lining, there are makeup transfers everywhere. And those to whom this has already happened know how difficult it is to remove this kind of trace. To avoid this inconvenience, Cristina Cordula reveals her simple but terribly effective habit on Instagram. Already made up, the image consultant comes to place a cloth to completely cover her hair and face while the clothing is put on. “As I didn’t want to get my sweater dirty with my makeup, I used a model’s trick: putting a scarf on my head” she explains in the caption of her post. Although the host of the show The queens of shopping uses a scarf, it is entirely possible to achieve the same thing with theone of the (clean!) tea towels lying in your kitchen cupboards. And if this technique really works, it is because thanks to the household linen, the garment is not in direct contact with the made-up face and therefore remains intact.

A trick known to models… But not only that!

According to some comments under Cristina Cordula’s publication, it seems that some women are already adept at this technique to protect their clothes. “Moroccan women use it during their wedding party (…). With heavy makeup, we are afraid of getting our traditional outfits dirty.” writes one of them, while another explains that she has been using it for a very long time. “In 1967 to put on my wedding dress after hair and makeup with a muslin scarf“Others, however, welcome this discovery with enthusiasm.”The scarf trick soooo but yes I had never thought of it. Great thank you!“, “Great tip” can we read for example. Now, it’s up to us to try!
