Matti Peltola was seen in the starting line-up for the first time in the qualifiers in Huahkajie’s defense.
– I had time to get a little nervous, but it was a wonderful experience. A full house. Denmark against. You can’t really hope for more, Peltola said.
Peltola received praise for his confidence in the studio from Antti Pohja and Paulus “Paukku” Arajuure.
– Paukku has praised me a little too much. The self-confidence will probably go through the roof, Peltola threw.
Robert Ivanov, from the Hukakis’ defense, also upset Denmark’s winning goal.
– It’s a shame that the goal came with a long shot. Nice move, but should have been blocked. A draw was expected. No can do. Let’s go ahead, Ivanov said.
Huuhkaji had a particularly tough qualifying window, as it started with an away game in Kazakhstan and continued against the best country in the qualifying group at home.
– It’s a fact that you sleep two nights a week on an airplane. Everyone knows it’s not normal. You still can’t go behind it. Sometimes it’s tougher, Ivanov said and spoke of self-confidence.
– We showed that we can play against Denmark for 90 minutes. They didn’t have a lot of chances to score. Of course, you should be more efficient in counterattacks, but when defending so much, the focus is a bit lost.
