Crisis on Infinite Earths would have rocked the DC cinematic universe completely

According to the latest reports, the previous DC film boss Walter Hamada even left Warner, after his vision was overturned by the new 10-year plan. As reported by Collider, Hamada was planning, among other things, a film adaptation of the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic*.

This storyline is probably the most epic DC event ever and gathers numerous superheroes and villains from all over the world in a common fight. The previously known DC universe is subjected to a complete reboot.

The film event, reminiscent of Marvel’s Secret Wars story, would have done so as well the endless chaos in the DC Universe with a wide variety of universes and character variants.

The Crisis on Infinite Earths story has already been on TV for The CW’s DC series adapted. It’s now unclear whether we’ll ever see another Crisis on Infinite Earths movie outside of the Arrowverse.
