Singer and TV presenter Marlayne Sahupala, herself a resident of Baarn, also sees what the theater means for her village. “The theater groups of Baarn play there – Marmelijn for the young people, Karakter for the adults. There are dance groups and bands that take their first steps on stage there, every summer holiday many young people gain experience at the theater four days. De Speeldoos and the team have a cultural-social role for young and old.”
