These weeks the municipal council of Bunnik, which includes Odijk, will vote on the Kersenweide, a residential area of 1,200 homes on the other side of the N229. If the council approves the plan, as expected, the municipality hopes that the shovel can be broken next year and that Kersenweide will welcome its first residents at the end of 2026.
