With South Sudanese Turkana, electro as an act of resistance

The future of the African electronic avant-garde calls itself Turkana. Behind this nickname hides the South Sudanese DJ and producer Anita Kevin, 26 years old. From a refugee camp in Kakuma, Kenya, to the biggest international stages, from Berlin to Oslo to the Sakifo festival in Reunion, in barely four years, the musician has established herself with her techno haunted by rhythms traditional African.
