With Season 7, Blizzard is making it easier to get loot and letting you farm faster

In Season 7 of Diablo 4, Blizzard is making it easier to complete whispering tasks and get powerful loot in the process. Not only will the delivery location be revised, but also the loot boxes you receive.

The “Whispering Tree” is now a good place to go for mats and loot. This makes it one of the best farming spots for a number of items in the endgame of Diablo 4. You will receive loot boxes there if you exchange the gifts you have collected for whispering tasks in the open world. This now also includes endgame activities such as Uber Bosses and the Undercity of Kurast.

The whispering tasks should not only be more important in Season 7, but should also be completed faster. In the “Campfire Chat” livestream on YouTube on November 21st, the developers reported what they had planned for the “Whispering Tree”.

Boxes with “bequeathed” items and ravens of the tree

This should change the tasks:

  • The layout of the Whispering Tree location is being reworked so that you can get from the waypoint to the tree more quickly.
  • The merchants are rearranged and more are added: Alchemist, Armory, Curiosity Merchant and Healer
  • There will be Ravens of the Tree in the areas where there are whisper quests. With the ravens you can exchange your gifts for loot boxes from time to time and don’t always have to go back to the tree when you’re in the flow, notes Dan Tanguay, the lead designer for Seasons.
  • There will be loot boxes containing ancestral items. Tanguay explains that while they have a “relatively low drop rate,” they guarantee an ancestral item if you get one of these crates. Ancestral items, or “bequeathed” items, are a major point of criticism in Season 6, which Blizzard wants to address in various ways.

    Dan Tanguay explains that in Season 7, players will visit the city more often and use the services there much more. Design Director Colin Finer reminds that there is the option to mark waypoints as favorites. This is particularly helpful for the new “witch city”. Some players have actually only recently discovered the new feature.

    Why will players use the location often? The new mechanic in Season 7 of Diablo 4 is the Witch Power powers. You can harness the powers and learn special skills. To learn new powers, you farm the season reputation, which you get for seasonal whispering tasks, among other things, and sacrifice it at the altar on the “Whispering Tree”. With the “Quality of Life” changes, Blizzard wants to make the process more convenient.
