With a single image on Twitter, Riot is making gamers crazy about a boy band

Music plays a big role in League of Legends. Riot now teased on Twitter that a boy band is coming. MeinMMO tells you what’s behind it.

Music in League of Legends has become incredibly important to the game and its player base. From the bands K/DA and True Damage to world anthems like Legends Never Die (2017) and Rise (2018) – the connection between music and LoL has grown inexorably and thrilled the community. This is reflected not only in the music, but also in the matching skins.

However, the appreciation for these music projects goes beyond the game. A notable example of this is K/DA’s Pop/Stars music video featuring Madison Beer, which has garnered over 568 million views on YouTube.

But while they have already introduced a K-pop girl band to the LoL community in the form of K/DA, what has been missing is a band consisting only of male champions. It looks like you won’t have to wait much longer. Riot teased a boy band with a recent post on Twitter.

Which champions belong to the boy band? Although Riot Games hasn’t officially announced anything yet, the teaser hints at which champions could receive a skin and be a member of the boy band.

In the notebook you can see some crucial clues. It features six enthusiastic male characters. On a post-it it is written: would like to be a star, rock star, with rock star circled again with a pen. Likewise, the keyboard and the cup give clues to Aphelios if you look closer.

SkinSpotlights has already written on Twitter which of the champions will be there and which could receive prestige and legendary skins, including:

  • Kayn with a Legendary Skin
  • Yone (Prestige)
  • Ezreal
  • Sett
  • K’Sante
  • Aphelios
  • Everything indicates that there will be one or more songs from the boy band – as was the case with K/DA and True Damage. However, it is not yet known which musicians Riot would work with.

For the new Worlds anthem Gods, Riot collaborated with the K-pop band NewJeans, you can see the video here:

How do the players react? On Twitter, numerous players expressed their enthusiasm for the boy band teaser – as if the LoL community had been eagerly waiting for this musical revelation. We have put together a few reactions for you:

  • Hibahria writes (via Twitter): Sett, Ksante, Aphelios. I can’t recognize the others though. As a rock band that would be really cool.
  • TeamXDynasty emphasizes: I can’t wait to see the champions and can’t wait to see who will be voicing the boy band!
  • sorrowtalks expresses the anticipation: This feels so surreal??? I can’t believe it.
  • There are also critical voices. User Ezraneth thinks (via Twitter): Please replace K’Sante with someone else, no matter who, and yes, even Teemo would be better.
  • While Riot Games has yet to release an official confirmation, the teaser suggests that the boy band skins and accompanying musical accompaniment will be an exciting and memorable addition to League of Legends.
