New season and big novelty with the arrival of Lewis Hamilton legend at Ferrari.
After an end of 2024 disputed on the track with a Red Bull and a less dominating Max Verstappen, despite a 4th world champion title for Dutch, the 2025 Formula 1 season promises to be grandiose. Pilots like Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc should fight for the title of best pilot, just like McLaren and Ferrari who want to fight for the title of the manufacturers.
But this year, the year of Lewis Hamilton’s great premiere at Ferrari will especially be the year of Lewis Hamilton. The English legend, septuple world champion, goes red in one of the biggest transfers in the history of sport. At the end of his career, the former Mercedes pilot does not come to make figuration and intends to bring victories for Scuderia and why not a title – pilot or manufacturer – if the planets are perfectly aligned.
In the meantime, Lewis Hamilton will touch a real chest by signing at Ferrari. According to estimates by Forbes on F1 wages, very difficult to know in the smallest detail, the number 44 will receive around 120 million euros over two years with an optional additional year. 60 million euros per year, simply 164,000 euros per day.
Despite a last delicate season with the Mercedes stable, Lewis Hamilton was therefore entitled to a big salary increase, because the latter was around 55 million euros in 2024. No need to specify that we are talking about the contractual salary as that pilot and not of all the performance bonuses around the pilot (around 2 million euros), nor especially sponsorships.
Because when called Lewis Hamilton and we are a legend of sport, sponsors and contracts flock. His annual salary would therefore be closer to 100,000 million euros if we add all income.
Despite the advanced astronomical figures, the British, contractually speaking, is not the best paid Formula 1 pilot. Max Verstappen, now quadruple world champion, has a salary of 75 million euros annual, including performance bonuses.
