Imagine you are working on the most important project of your life and no one wants it. This is how Winx Club creator Iginio Straffi must be feeling right now – and it’s his own fault. In the article you can expect:
After dissing Netflix’s Fate: The Winx Saga, fans are dissing back
What happened until now: In a nutshell, the house blessing is lopsided in the Winx Club fan base. Netflix first canceled the live-action adaptation Fate: The Winx Saga after a massive cliffhanger in the season 2 finale.
Just two days later, Iginio Straffi resigned completely different Winx Club projects an (animated series reboot and live-action film) and completely unnecessarily diss the Fate showrunner.
Straffi didn’t learn about the cancellation of Fate: The Winx Saga from Netflix, but like fans from an Instagram post from showrunner Brian Young. He accused Young “too little understanding” for the Winx community to have. He then garnered hundreds of angry comments on Instagram from those same Winx fans demanding Season 3.
Now Straffi goes one better: Instead of letting grass grow over the mishap, he reports on the subject again on his Insta account.

The Winx movie probably will the most important project of my entire career be.
The quote came from an interview with Variety , in which Straffi also hinted that he was signing this live-action film that is so important to him can only do because Netflix sawed off Fate: The Winx Saga.
You can imagine what was going on in the comment column after that. The most liked fan answer (by micaaconsta) is: “We’ll still love Fate more and more, sorry”. Ouch.

Fate: The Winx Saga
In addition to the umpteen demands for Fate Season 3 and scorns for the planned film, one fast growing petition furnished.
The Fate Season 3 petition has already received over 100,000 votes
Paradoxically, Straffi has this petition on Change.org self fueled, because he poured oil on the fire with his posts instead of waiting. In the comments on his last Insta post, a fan is happy that the petition has already reached over 100,000 votes.
In the petition, the initiator of the petition, Lauren Schnoor, goes above all hard on Netflix. Netflix would rather release hurtful serial killer documentaries than continue popular series like Fate: The Winx Saga.
Since criminals “most important project of his entire career” depends on the end of Fate, he probably didn’t sign that petition. In the interview, he notes that Netflix has not informed him of the cancellation, let alone explained the reasons for it.
The bottom line is that the Fans of Fate: The Winx Saga lose out. Straffi has his new projects and old Winx Club fans are getting new ones. Anyone who looks at Netflix’s cancellation story knows that season 3 is extremely unlikely, despite great fan demand.

Winx Club
I too am saddened by the dismissal. But it’s time to take it easy on your nerves and yourself to make friends with the animated Winx Club supplieswhich is planned.
Between rejection and defiance, some long-established fairy fans who are interested in his new animated series can be found under Straffi’s posts. Nevertheless, he should take it easy with his announcements and give Fate fans time and space to mourn.
