The ARTcrawl celebration begins at 5 pm, with artist Maxwell Johnson unveiling his debut exhibition, “Eye, Sea, You.”

Afterward, attendees will journey down King Street West, making stops at Art and Heirloom and Crow City Cafe to explore works by Bev Fish, Dava Robichaud and Lorie Thibault.

The Thames Art Gallery will host an opening reception at 7 pm for artist Amanda McCavour’s work, The Blue Afar. This installation serves as the gallery’s main event, filling ground floor spaces with fields of blue thread-like forms suspended from the ceiling.

The mezzanine will showcase works from the Thames Art Gallery’s permanent collection in the exhibition Fragile: Handle with Care, featuring works that depict the themes of fragility and the ephemeral.

Additionally, the CK Museum will open its doors for its collection, offering a walk-through of Chatham-Kent’s history with its 80 in 80 exhibition.

The night will conclude with musical performances by hometown guitar virtuosos Tom Lockwood and Darryl Orr at 8 pm in Studio One.

The public is invited to visit the Thames Art Gallery in the Chatham Cultural Center at 75 William St. N. from Wednesday to Sunday, 11 am to 4 pm, with extended hours every Thursday until 7 pm
