It is very windy in the country. SMHI warns of strong wind gusts along the Bohuslän coastal belt and gales in almost the entire Baltic Sea.
SMHI’s yellow gale warnings apply to Vänern, Skagerrak, Kattegatt and the entire Baltic Sea except in the Öresund, the northern Bothnian Sea and the Northern Kvarken. The warnings apply on Wednesday and Thursday.
Those with recreational boats should therefore be careful for a couple of days.
– It starts to subside tomorrow and calms down towards the weekend, says Stina Karlsson, meteorologist at SMHI.
But it is also windy over land and not only in northern Bohuslän, where a yellow warning has been issued for wind along the coastal strip.
– It is autumn and windy. Above all in southern Sweden. In Bohuslän, it’s up to storm villages, says Karlsson.
SMHI has also issued a yellow warning for snowfall in the inner and eastern parts of Norrbotten, valid until Thursday.
By the weekend, it will be wet in almost the entire country.
– During Friday, the next low pressure and rain area will come from the west. It moves in over the west coast and then northeast across the country. On Friday evening it reaches Norrland and will turn into snow, says Stina Karlsson.
