Hundreds of people reacting to Israel’s attacks on Gaza raided the airport due to the plane landing from Israel’s capital Tel Aviv to Makhachkala Airport in Russia’s Dagestan. Demonstrators with Palestinian flags in their hands demanded that the passengers on the plane coming from Israel not be taken and the plane be sent back.

The demonstrators, who broke through the security barriers and reached the runway, searched the passengers getting off the plane. While many police officers were sent to the airport, a fight broke out between the security forces taking precautions at the airport and the protesters. During the fight, some windows and doors of the airport were broken.
Dagestan President Sergey Melikov, in his statement about the incident, described what happened as a provocation.
MANY ISRAELIANS WERE TAKEN UNDER SURVEILLANCE
It was announced that many Israelis were taken under surveillance in a safe place after hundreds of people raided the airport. An Israeli security official stated in his statement that the events in Makhachkala continue and said, “A limited number of Israelis and Jews are currently isolated and under surveillance at the airport. We are working for them to depart with a connecting flight to Moscow when conditions allow. Israeli security officials and the Israeli ambassador “He is working with local security authorities,” he said.
The Israeli Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that they are following the events in Dagestan and that they expect the Russian law enforcement forces to protect all Israeli citizens and act decisively against attacks against Jews and Israelis.
