Municipalities will now have the opportunity to make their own decisions over the next six months about locations to generate sustainable energy, but they may ignore the most promising areas. If, after six months, municipalities do not succeed, or municipalities do not want to do so and the so-called RES objectives are not achieved, the province will take steps itself to make wind energy possible.
