Live

16:14 – Game set and match Stephens

Sloane Stephens does not tremble and wins in two sets against Rebecca Peterson (6/2 6/3).

16:12 – It gets complicated for Fery

Arthur Fery conceded his serve and now sees the Russian come off in this second set. Daniil Medvedev confirmed his break and leads 4/2.

16:11 – Tie-break between Raonic and Novak

It is not very surprising when you know Milos Raonic. The Canadian is very difficult to break. The former top 10 took Dennis Novak to a tie-break.

16:09 – Barrier in favorable waivers

On court 9, Grégoire Barrère succeeded in unbreaking his opponent and then immediately recovering the service of Lloyd Harris. This allows him to acquire the first round (7/5). The interruption seems to have benefited the tricolor who therefore reversed the situation.

16:06 – Iga Swiatek soon on Center Court

After Daria Kasatkina, it is the world number 1, Iga Swiatek who will return to the Center Court. The Polish will make her second round against Sara Sorribes Tormo. Some still have not played a single match in the English capital.

16:02 – Daria Kasatkina first qualifier of the day

It took until 4 p.m. to see a first success on this third day of Wimbledon. Daria Kasatkina won on Center Court 6/0 6/2 over Jodie Burrage.

16:00 – Kontaveit gives it all

For the last tournament of her career, Anett Kontaveit is trying to do things right. She wants to pursue the adventure as far as possible. She won the 1st set 6/4.

15:59 – Fery does not weaken

Arthur Fery and Daniil Medvedev started the second set on the same basis as the first set. The Briton continues to stand up to the world number 3. There are 2/1 in his favour.

3:54 p.m. – All the matches have started

With the multiple warm-ups, the matches take a lot of delay. Play has resumed on almost all courts.

15:50 – Medvedev pockets the first set

Daniil Medvedev has raised his level of play and it shows. The Russian player won the first set 7/5.

15:49 – On Central and 1, we play with the roof open

The game started with the roof open. It must therefore end with the roof open. The Russian and the British will again be subject to weather conditions. The same goes for the women on Center Court.

15:48 – Kasatkina and Burrage in the second leg

Jodie Burrage and Daria Kasatkina returned to their tighter duel. The Briton conceded the first set 6/0. There are 3/2 for the Russian in the second set.

15:46 – Winning comeback for Medvedev

Daniil Medvedev surely took advantage of the break to remobilize. The Russian is aggressive from the start. He broke his opponent (6/5).

15:44 – It resumes on 1

Daniil Medvedev and Arthur Fert took over at 5/5 in the first set.

15:25 – 35 minutes of play later, the tournament still at a standstill

The thinning was therefore too short. The weather alternates between good and less good. The delay accumulates. Players come back and then leave. The situation is quite funny.

Which program for Wimbledon?

At Wimbledon, the official program for each day, available on the official website, can sometimes be turned upside down. Indeed, if the schedule for the start of the day is quite clear, it is very difficult to count on the exact time of the end of the matches. The main constraint for the organizers remains the weather and the rain which can thwart the holding of the matches. Two courts (the “Center Court” and court n°1) have a retractable roof that can accommodate matches in the event of “capricious” weather.
