The second round of the Wimbledon qualifications succeeded well with the French players who almost all qualified.
The French were not disturbed by the bad weather which affected Wimbledon. Harold Mayot did not relax his efforts in the second qualifying round to beat Jack Duckworth (6/4 6/4). He gave himself the possibility of integrating the main draw like Lucas Pouille who made his mark on the London lawn. To achieve this, they will have to win their third round. Lucas Pouille is trying to get back to his best and he’s on the right track. He defeated young Italian Giulio Zeppieri in three sets. The grass seems to suit our Blues better since Laurent Lokoli eliminated Norbert Gombos in two sets. Enzo Couacaud imitated him by taking advantage of the abandonment of Korean Hyeon Chung (6/1 2/0). Hugo Gaston is the only one to have lost his match among all the French engaged this Wednesday, June 28. He lost to Billy Harris (2/6 7/6 6/4).
Among the girls, for her second game of her life on grass, Mirra Andreeva rolled Chloé Paquet. His maturity on a court impresses. The Russian is well on her way to playing spoilsport in the main draw. Clara Burel and Océane Dodin are currently playing their first set. Carole Monnet is expected on the court in a few minutes. They are only three tricolor representatives in this women’s qualifying table.
The Wimbledon tournament has released the list of seeds. Carlos Alcaraz will be number 1 in the main draw while Novak Djokovic will be number 2. The two players will therefore only be able to meet in the final of the British Grand Slam. Despite his recent injury, Jannik Sinner is well on the list sent by the organization. Nick Kyrgios is also spared being 31st. With his title in Halle, Alexander Bublik will be the 25th seed of this Wimbledon 2023.
In women, there are no surprises with Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina who will be seeded 1, 2 and 3 respectively in this table. Petra Kvitova almost broke into the top eight ranked players. She is preceded by Maria Sakkari and Coco Gauff. Caroline Garcia is the 5th seed while the finalist of the 2022 edition, Ons Jabeur will be 6th. Karolina Pliskova has the label of the 18th player in the world. The Egyptian Mayar Sheriff has finally offered a place among the 32 seeds.

Which program for Wimbledon?
At Wimbledon, the official program for each day, available on the official website, can sometimes be turned upside down. Indeed, if the schedule for the start of the day is quite clear, it is very difficult to count on the exact time of the end of the matches. The main constraint for the organizers remains the weather where the rain can thwart the holding of the matches. Indeed, two courts (the “Center Court” and court n°1) have a retractable roof that can accommodate matches in the event of “capricious” weather.
