According to the release, an Argentinian Franco Colapinto drive as Williams’ second race driver for the rest of the season.

The current season has been difficult for the traditional British team, as it has earned only four points in the World Series. Each of them has been driven by another race driver from the stable Alex Albonwhile the 21-year-old Sargeant’s points column is still at zero.

– Changing drivers in the middle of the season is not a decision we have made lightly, but we believe this gives Williams the best chance to compete for points during the rest of the season, Williams team manager James Vowles opened.

According to the release, however, Sargeant will continue as a member of Williams, and in addition, the team plans to help the American driver with his driving in the future as well.

Colapinto will get to do real work already next weekend, when the World Championship points will be raced in Monza, Italy.
