William Poromaa’s response after Norwegian Flörten with Frida Karlsson

The ski world is about to change for all time.
Now Sweden and Norway can compete together for the first time.

But new for this season is that the nations are allowed to assemble relay teams with riders from different countries.
– If a nation has a full first team and has a rider over, then you can go together with another nation and form a joint second team. It was not possible last season, says the competition manager Michal Lamplot in a statement to Expressen.
– This is the only rule change we have made for the season. We hope that it will make more relay teams start.

Want to go with Frida

In the past, combined teams between the nations have only been allowed as the first team, to help less nations get to the starting line. But this opens up for a mixed relay team for both Sweden and Norway.

One that really gets started on this idea is the Norwegian veteran Emil Iversen.
– I could have imagined driving with Sweden! It would have been fun!, He tells the evening newspaper and builds his own dream team.
– Me, Frida Karlsson, William Poromaa and Heidi Weng could be a team? Then we have two previous love couples who go together. It would have been really exciting!
