William Nylander’s new success last night – well on his way to the dream limit in the NHL

Toronto’s Swedish attack star William Nylander had already scored more points before the match against Washington than in any previous season in the NHL and when the final whistle sounded there had been three more, a goal and two assists.

William Nylander has now scraped together 91 points in 68 games. That’s four more than the 87 he collected in 82 games last season. He is seventh overall in the scoring league in the NHL, 27 points behind first Nikita Kucherov which has 118 points.

Nylander has a clear chance to crack the 100-point barrier during the regular season. As it seems now, Toronto has a good chance of making the playoffs as well.

In the match, however, it was one of the teammates, Austin Matthews, who scored even more points – five. Two goals and three assists.

Washington, where the Swedish hill Rasmus Sandin was noted for an assist, is fighting to make the playoffs in the circle of teams that have a chance at a so-called wild card to the playoffs.
